QUESTION 1:What is the Eubiq Power Track system?

The system consists of our power track and tap-off units such as plugs and adapters. It lets you draw power from any point along the track, using our specially designed tap-off units. The tracks are available in two versions: the Surface Series and Recessed Series. We also offer a wide range of Eubiq adapters compatible with all major plug standards worldwide.

QUESTION 2:What is the rating of your Eubiq Power Tracks and adaptors?

Please refer to the product specification sheet on the corresponding product page on our website.

QUESTION 3:How many tap-off units can I connect to Eubiq Power Track at the same time to draw power?

The number of tap-off units isn't limited by the absolute number of units you connect, but by the total load current of all your devices at the time of use. The maximum load current of the system depends on the rating of the MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker) on the distribution board powering your final sub-circuit. In practice, power track can accommodate up to 12 adaptors or 18 plugs per metre run.

QUESTION 4:What is the maximum length of Eubiq Power Track available?

The maximum length of an individual track is 3.6 metres. They can be linked together to any custom length, even to cover an entire wall perimeter. The internal wiring will be looped accordingly to ensure uninterrupted power supply. If your total load demand exceeds the rating of a single MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker,) at the Distribution Board (DB), you can add multiple incoming circuits to the track at different intervals, with the separate tracks electrically isolated from each other.

QUESTION 5:Does Eubiq Power Track products conform to any test specifications or safety standards?

Yes. Our Power Tracks are designed to comply with IEC 61534-1, while our plugs and adapters comply with BS5733/SS241, as well as the relevant clauses of BS1363/SS145 standards. The design of construction of the track and tap-off units also ensures that the connection to the Protective Earth conductor (PE) is always made first, and disconnected last, before any connection to the live parts.

QUESTION 6:How long can the products last?

Our products have undergone type testing to withstand over 15,000 operating cycles under normal usage conditions.

To put this into perspective, that is equivalent to more than 13 years of regular use, even if you plug and unplug an adaptor 3 times a day.

QUESTION 7:Where are your products from?

All innovative concepts and appearance designs are originally created in Singapore, while our production base and shipping centre are located in Guangdong Province, China.

QUESTION 8:Are your products waterproof or water-resistant?

Our products have been tested and certified to meet the IP54 water-resistant rating.

This means they are protected against dust ingress and splashing water from any direction, making them safe to use in areas like kitchens, bathrooms or covered outdoor spaces.

QUESTION 9: If I install an Eubiq Power Track in my kitchen, will the heat from my stove or oven damage or deform the track? Is the track heat resistant? And what is the recommended mounting distance to prevent this?

All plastic materials used in our Power Tracks are heat resistant. That said, we do not recommend installing the track directly on the wall above your stove or oven. This is not due to heat damage risk, but to prevent dirt from building up on the track cover, caused by prolonged exposure to cooking smoke and fumes. We recommend installing the track at least 200mm away from your stove or oven.

QUESTION 10: Can the adapters slide along the power track?

No. Sliding the adaptor along the track would create sparks due to physical friction, which poses an electrical safety risk. For this reason, Eubiq adaptors are not designed to slide along the Power Track, and we have specially fitted an anti-slip spring to prevent accidental sliding.

Correct operation: Insert the adaptor at any position on the track, then rotate it clockwise to lock and power on. Conversely, rotate it anticlockwise to unlock and remove it when needed.

QUESTION 11:What other products do you offer besides the ones listed on your website?
